Answers about water-repellence, linings, sizes, washing, currencies, payment, delivery, import charges and returns.
Are your raincoats waterproof?
We describe them as water-repellent. The outers are coated (PU-coated polyester, or nylon with a water-repellent finish on Drizzle pieces), and Showers and Downpour pieces have taped seams. We do not quote millimetre ratings because we would only do that from a test report for each style. Our rain scale explains what each level is built for.
Can I wear the coats inside out?
No. Only the outer fabric is coated. The printed linings are not water-repellent, so none of our coats are reversible. Bucket hats are the exception by design: wear the plain coated side out in rain and the print side out on dry days.
Will the print look exactly like the photos?
The design will. Prints are cut from a continuous roll, so where a cloud, tile or postcard falls on your coat will differ slightly from the photo and from piece to piece. Colours can also look a little different on different screens.
What size should I order?
Go by your body measurements on our size guide. Coats are cut with room for a knit underneath. Each coat page also gives its back length and sleeve length in centimetres.
How do I wash my coat?
Wash at 30°C on a gentle cycle, fastened and inside out, with liquid detergent and no fabric softener. Hang to dry away from heat. Do not tumble dry, iron the coated outer or dry clean.
Are the outfit sets cheaper?
No. “Add the set to bag” is a shortcut that puts the pieces in your bag together, each at its own price. You can untick anything you do not want, and return any piece on its own.
Which currency will I pay in?
Prices follow your delivery country: GBP for the UK, EUR for euro-area countries, DKK for Denmark, SEK for Sweden, NOK for Norway, CHF for Switzerland and USD for the US. You can change the country at the top of every page. You pay in the currency shown at checkout; your bank may add a fee if your card is in a different currency.
Which payment methods do you accept?
The payment methods available for your order are shown at checkout. Payments are processed by our payment providers over an encrypted connection; we never see or store your full card details. Your bank statement will show MAVRENIO.
How much is delivery and how long does it take?

Will I pay import charges?
For deliveries outside the United Kingdom, import VAT, duties or customs fees may be charged on delivery and are paid by the recipient. Details are on our Delivery page.
How do I return something?
You have 14 days from delivery to change your mind. Use Withdraw from contract here or email us, then send the item back within 14 days. Full details are on Returns and refunds.
Do you have a shop?
No, MAVRENIO is online only. Our Glasgow address is our registered office, not a shop or returns address.
Are your materials eco-friendly?
We make no environmental claims. We list exactly what each piece is made of so you can decide for yourself, and we will only add claims we can back with evidence.
